SERENITY'S STORY

Guided by lived experience, expertise, and a passion for change.

When our founder, Bella S. Simmons, saw how art helped her daughter Serenity express pain she could not put into words, she realised that art could be a lifeline for other children facing their own storms.

What started with Serenity's personal path to healing grew into Serenity Peace of Mind Art School (SPOMAS) in New Jersey — our charitable organisation where hundreds of young people found confidence, resilience, and joy through art.

The therapeutic power of art helped Serenity to find her voice and a way back to her confident, joyful self. Now SPOMAS continues to do this for countless other children.

This movement has flourished — and we are honored to bring this same hope and healing back home to Bermuda, the place Serenity will always call home. Our goal is to give every child a canvas for their dreams and the chance to rediscover their light, just as Serenity did.

"Art has helped me with the way I feel, and it helps me express myself when I can't tell others how I feel or when I don't know the words"
